Death, The Meaning of Life

Three screen short experimental film, inspired by 15th century Flemish portraits. Exploring the subtleties of life and death through various objects, flowers and animals using their symbolisms to create the narrative. Recognising how people change in different situations. Being either very subtle changes, drastic or not changing at all. Looking at time, place and living creatures. Using their symbolisms to create an eery dark but beautiful looking image. Using the woman portraying strength, curiosity, depression, belief and confidence. These themes displayed through the choice of flowers, critters and animals. The man showing age, tiredness of life, curiosity of death, wealth, knowledge and existentialism.
